Carole Cullen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Gottman Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She has over 14 years of experience treating individuals, couples and families. She holds a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Hofstra University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook.
Mrs. Cullen has extensive training in trauma and bereavement and treated many NYC families and rescue workers that lost a loved one on September 11th, 2001. After moving to North Carolina in 2005, she began working more with couples recovering after an affair and found that these couples had similar symptoms as the traumatized victims of 9/11. She used her training in trauma and grief to educate and support couples about the process of recovering after an affair.
Mrs. Cullen has developed Couples Crisis Care to assist couples in crisis after an affair or any traumatic life changing experience. Couples Crisis Care is an intensive therapeutic process that involves two therapists and 3 hours of therapy to address critical issues that often occur in the early stages of a traumatic event.
