Dr. Murray McNiel is a licensed psychologist in private practice with Orenstein Solutions, P.A. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Dr. McNiel received specialized training in couples therapy from renowned marital researcher, Don Baucom, Ph.D. hailed as one of the best couples therapists in the U.S. today. Dr. McNiel completed his post-doctoral training at the Durham V.A. Medical Center, where he had specialized training in the treatment of PTSD and substance abuse. Dr. McNiel has worked in a variety of settings, including VA medical centers, the state psychiatric hospital, university counseling center and UNC Psychology Department clinic.
